Located approximately 110 km from Srinagar, reaching Aru is straightforward with Johansen Travels providing shared cab options from Srinagar, a trip that typically spans 3 to 4 hours.
For air travelers, Srinagar Airport offers flights connecting from various states across India, with flights from New Delhi being the most direct route.
Train access directly into Kashmir is not available, but Jammu serves as the nearest railway hub, linking to major cities across India. From Jammu, one can find frequent bus or cab services to Srinagar, thanks to the NH1 highway that ensures smooth connectivity. Once in Srinagar, you can utilize taxi services to make your way to Aru, setting the stage for your trekking adventure with a scenic drive lasting about 3 to 4 hours.
